Thermal Design
Define the design point before choosing the core.
Start with the duty
Specify the transferred heat and how it was calculated. A condenser may reject more heat than the cooling load because compressor input is also present.
Define both sides
State the refrigerant or working fluid, entering conditions, intended outlet conditions and permitted pressure drop. On the air side, include airflow and entering temperature; add humidity when relevant.
Check the operating range
Provide part-load conditions, ambient extremes and transient cases that affect the component. Separate normal operation from the required mechanical design limits.
Agree validation
Request the proposed drawing and test conditions. Compare performance at the same conditions and agree how the sample will be assessed. This page describes enquiry inputs, not a claim that BKF offers a particular simulation service.
