The joint
Brazing joins assembled components using a filler metal. Joint quality depends on material compatibility, fit, cleanliness and the controlled joining conditions.
Questions for a supplier
Request the proposed material combination, joint design and process-control information. Tube-to-header joints and fin attachment have different functions in the assembly.
Inspection planning
A leak test assesses leakage under defined conditions; it does not by itself prove thermal capacity or lifetime. Define the inspection scope and acceptance criteria for the part.
