Quality Control & Product Qualification
Clear acceptance criteria and relevant documentation for an industrial purchase.
Quality begins with an agreed specification
A useful quality plan defines the component drawing, material requirements and acceptance criteria before supply. Request the inspection documentation relevant to the selected product, rather than relying on a general quality slogan.
Inspection requirements to agree
| Incoming material | Material identity and the documentation required by the customer. |
|---|---|
| Dimensional inspection | Drawing dimensions, mounting features and port positions. |
| Pressure & leakage | Test medium, test conditions, duration and acceptance limits for the proposed part. |
| Performance validation | Thermal duty, operating conditions and the measurement method. |
| Traceability | Required marking, lot identification and retained records. |
| Final review | Packaging, handling requirements and agreed shipment documentation. |
Certification documents
BKF’s historical company timeline mentions IATF 16949 in 2017. That historical reference is not presented as proof of a current certificate. If certification is part of your supplier qualification, request the current certificate, scope and validity for the manufacturing entity and product under review.
Testing standards & acceptance
Identify the applicable customer or product requirements in the RFQ. Test methods, operating limits and evidence should be confirmed for the proposed component. A leak-test result is not a substitute for system-level performance or application qualification.
